I second that. Going too fast means fighting the wind and the noise and worrying about cops around every corner. I prefer to just chill and enjoy the ride.
I 3rd that, I usually ride the speed limit and stay in the right lane out of everybody's way. I'm retired now and in no hurry. I laugh at cagers in their big SUV's and some trucker's flying down the hwy at breakneck speeds. Then they complain about gas prices.
Why should he move over? He said if he's in the left lane doing OVER the speed limit?
This is why we have road rage, this type of attitude. Don't take this personal hwyman cause I have experienced this all over. The left lane is for faster traffic to overtake and pass, regardless of the speed being travelled by the slower vehicle. Move over when you are holding up other vehicles please, it's not your job to slow us down and be our protectors.

+1, please don't protect me from myself. Nothing pisses me off more than some self appointed speed monitor holding up traffic in the left lane or carpool lane. If you want to ride at or slightly above the speed limit at least have the courtesy of using the right hand or middle lanes.
If I get a ticket for doing 75~85 that's my problem and just the cost of doing business.. don't worry, I'll just send them a check
Because it is illegal in most states to run the left lane if you are holding up traffic, not to mention it is very inconsiderate, also, that is the #1 complaint from motorists! Because you are running the speed limit, or more, is not a defense. (this is one ticket I truly enjoy writing to someone). Why the heck do you want to be in somebody's way? And why, in the interest of your own safety, would you let somebody follow you that close. Which they will do if you are holding them up!! I don't like anybody holding me up, and I will signal and pull off the road ASAP before I would be guilty of doing the same!! Now you can flame me all you want, but if you are one of those people who holds up traffic, words can't describe how low of life form I think you are! JMHO!! (p.s. if I comment anymore on this I'll tell you how I really feel!!)
I run about 5 to 10 over at most. Though sometimes I don't even do the speed limit (catch myself about 5 under alot is seems lately) cuz I'm in less of a hurry as I get older I guess. Just enjoying the ride.
