I'll add my CC issue to this thread as well. My 03' RKC shows a code for 'front or rear brake applied'. I've confirmed that the lights are in working order and are not on if the lever/pedals aren't depressed. My handlebars have been changed prior to my purchasing the bike (1 month ago) so I don't know how long the cc hasn't worked. Is it possible to have a faulty front brake lite switch that still activates the lamp but tricks the cc into thinking the brakes are applied when they really aren't?
