Default Lift table purchase

I'm finally going to order myself a better surface to work on my bikes. I have searched the forums and found lots of info. However, I'd like to start a thread on why you purchased the lift table you did.

I'm considering the following 2:
Handy Sam 1000 (think bob 1500 may be excess)
The complete motorcycle lift

I'm leaning towards the 2nd choice, mainly because of pricing. For those of you with experience with these lifts, please share any positive and negative info.

I wanted the Handy but I just couldn't pass up the deal that Direct Lift offered. I've used mine on multiple builds without one problem. If you have the room, there is no better way to work on your ride than a lift table.

How about the SAM 2 that also has a drop out front panel?

I know you didn't ask, but take a look at direct lift. I'm very happy with mine. I don't think that I could have gotten this far without it. But maybe I just lack true skill.

I looked at many different brands (in person) of lifts before I bought the complete hydraulics lift with front and side extensions. It looks to be better built (heavier) than any of the others except the Handy. (The Handy lifts I looked at were professional quality).
At that time the cheapest Handy lifts I found were twice the $$$ of the Complete hydraulics lift (which was on sale) and didn't include the Jack or extensions.
If the difference had been $400 I would have gotten the Handy.

I made two changes to the Complete hydraulics lift.
1. I replaced the clamp with a wheel chock from harbor freight
2. I made a longer approach ramp, my wife's bike sits so low it bottomed out going on to the lift. (I think the ramp that comes with it now is longer than the one I got).

I have been eyeing the Complete Hydraulics myself. If you pre order, they knock off another $100, and that get you to $699 with all the accessories.

I got one of these but should have gotten one with a drop out tail for changing the rear tire:

Price was right and it was local.
I got a center jack for the table as well. Which has really helped alot:

But I put a roll in wheel chock on it when I got it home.

Another Direct Lift fan here. I have had one since 2002 and have never had a problem. Works great last a long time. No maintenance and easy to use. The Blackjack addon is great for cleaning wheels etc.
