Question Clutch cable question

Yesterday I adjusted my clutch and then went to adjust the cable, when I tightened down the lock nut is separated the cable adjusting/housing (crap!).

I got a new takeoff cable from a local Indy. Pulled of the exhaust and changed it out today. The thing is the new cable has a coating on the wire and my old one didn't. Is this Teflon and do you need to lube this new type?

You do not lube the Teflon type from what I understand. Dri slide will ruin them almost instantly.

There is a lube for teflon cables....No I can't recall the name but as stated dri-slide or other graphite type lube will destroy that cable real quick. As your dealer parts counter.
