Ah-ha!

So, sissy bar goes to shock mounts and plastic, tour-pak goes to chrome spacers and plastic.

That makes sense!

Dang dude, thanks!!!!!!!!!

OK, one more question.....

The instructions make reference to a push-to-talk harness, part number 77133-09. I can't find that part, or anything called a "push-to-talk" harness on the HD website, and the part number comes up empty on Zanotti's.

Not that we used it, but I want this to be as full-functional as it can.

Thoughts?

Can't help with the PTT harness part number you posted, but take a look at the installation instructions on HD's website for the Boom Audio Music & Intercom kit, p/n 77108-09. It's a kit intended to permit use of the passenger headset connector and PTT/Vol features without a tour pak mounted on the bike. The installation instructions and p/n's may be helpful.

I installed the kit on my bike and wrote-up the installation in this link with pics:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...tra-glide.html

You may get some ideas and p/n's to have the PTT feature moved from the speaker pod along with the passenger headset connector.

Thanks for all the help guys!

I rode into work today, tour-pak off, badlander seat, windsplitter windshield, fairing lowers off, Boom! speakers in the fairing.... felt like a WHOLE NEW bike!

And I figured out how to get my tour-pak on and off

Now, two more questions please... and they may have the same answer.

I wired up the 3-connector plug off of the harness on the left side of the bike and plugged it in to the tour-pak with the little pig-tail that came with the kit. Rear running lights work, brake lights work, but the running lights on the side of the tour-pak are dark. What's up w/that?

On the same harness coming down the left side of the bike, I have another pair of wires that go into a 2-connector plug. Again, what's up w/that?

Is it possible that these two are related? Did I miss a step in one of the many "ever clear and detailed" instructions that came with all this?

Other than solving the above two mysteries, I am totally stoked with the setup. Like I said, feels like a whole new bike and when mama wants to go to the beach for the weekend, switching back should only take a few minutes. I couldn't have done it without you guys - thanks SO much!

Isn't the Detachable 2 Up Tour Pac Mount for your 2010 Part Number #53276-09a?

That's the mount itself. To be honest, I'd have to look at the instruction/parts doc itself to find out - it came with the kit 53246-09A.

Anyway, I got all that solved, my problem now is the two extra wires coming from the harness on the left side of the bike, and the lack of side running lights on the tour-pak.
