Default Extended warranty

My dealer is quoting a price of $1499 for the 7 year extended warranty on a 07 FLRT. I'm curious what price others may have received.

I paid $1349 for 5 year extension on a 06 RG in July 06. Haven't found out what it really covers because I haven't had a break down yet.

Oh yeah, that includes the tire hazard coverage too.

The quote of $1499 didn't include the tire coverage. That was $1898.

I paid $1400 for 7 year including tire and wheel coverage on my Heritage. I just bought the Ultra and did not get the extended coverage since I plan to trade every two years.

I paid $900 for 3 additional years on the Harley Extended Service Warranty. Now I have five years total.

I wanted the additional warranty for my 07, as I will most likely keep the bike for at least five years.

Did not get the wheel and tire replacement warranty--did not think it was a good investment.

Save your money......other than the initial driveability problems Harley's are pretty trouble free, and those problems are not covered under warranty. You gotta richen 'em up because of epa.

The only reason I bought the ew was to put the wife's mind at ease. I don't believe I can go 7 yrs without tearing into the top end and changing out the chain drive cams to gear driven. I have read about another forum member getting a refund on the remaing unused portion of his warrenty. I might go that route if I can ever save up enough coin to go with GMR's 98" package.
