The installation instructions posted are the original version which has since been revised to correct a mistake; pinouts 19 and 31 should be reversed from what's shown in the posted instructions.
Carl is absolutely correct. HD has since "posted" some revised (dated 14 Sep 10) installation instructions for Part No: 76476-10. Here is a link (I hope I get this link right):

Where did you find that link? I ask because it isn't on the P&A catalog for the ipod interface module in the main catalog on-line or the "new products" portion.
CARL: Just lucky I guess; I was doing a "Google" search for install instructions for the
IPOD module and at about the ninth page that popped up, I saw this document
(and it looked authentic because it was on a HD site...), clicked on it and
bingo, the "revised" install instructions were displayed. My SWAG is that somewhere
buried in the bowels of the Harley server, they have posted install instructions
for their stuff, but it is very hard to get to. I "tested" it out on other P&A that I
have just recently installed on my bike and I was able to bring up install instructions
on about 90% of the items I have....The "trick" to burrowing your way to the right
pdf document is that they do not "post" them by HD Part Number. Apparently, they
"post" them by HD's "special" number they assign it (i.e. "J_ _ _ _ _ ")
Did the link not work right ? If not, PM me and I can scan and send you a copy of
the "revised" install instructions if you'd like....
Got it.....I've run across this with some other P&A; HD does a pretty good job though, but,
as with the IPOD Interface, I've run across a few others that HD has not yet posted any
downloadable install instructions.....
i use my Iphone and mount for gps and tunes. cheap- I use ear buds to listen. I can alos read my email- get weather reports etc.
the mount was 150.00 at j-p cycle. but it clicks to the next tune everytime i hit a crack in the road.
Try turning off the shake to shuffle option under settings, iPod that will cure your problem!

vr,
Bill
Bill, go ahead and post the links for those installation instructions. I don't know if HD has decided to stop posting them in the P&A catalog, but it seems with the newer accessores they aren't doing it any more.
