I just don't get it. I'm an iPod/iPhone user, but when you can burn 100+ mp3's onto a disk and pop it in the CD player, what's the point of spending big money for an iPod interface? You can put over six hours of music on a 15 cent CD if you burn them as mp3's.
More than 14,000 views of this thread. A lot of interest in the interface, but probably not so many takers. Imagine if the MoCo had priced this thing reasonably. Might have sold a bunch more.

I have been reading through these posts, and need some help. I installed the Boom Audio Navigation Interface Module, with the IPOD Navigation Connector, and the Zumo 660. The audio wire is connected from the NIM to the AUX on the front of the radio. After installing all of these I can not get the zumo to interrupt the radio during audio instruction from the zumo. Any suggestion? Thanks.
The one thing that I did notice in the IPOD/Navigation Connector instructions was:
IN USE
the speaker selector switch should be in the "a" (illuminated) rearward position to hear navigation prompts over the vehicle speakers.
I think they are referring to the rocker switch on the lower dash. But I do not have one.

First...Carl is correct...you have to be using a 'Road Tech' version Zumo...the 'standard' Zumo WILL NOT work!
Second...make sure your instructions are REV 2010-09-14!
Third...the audio connection from the NIM has two possible configurations. These are the Zumo IS being used as an audio source or IS NOT being used as an audio source. See page 3 of the instructions, step 8.
Your description does not say which way you have it connected...but sounds as if you are planning to use the Zumo as an audio source since you mention using the AUX port...and in that configuration you must use the supplied 'Y' cable. But using the 'Y' cable presents another problem in that you are left with two female connectors for the last connection. You need to purchase a 3.5mm 'Stereo' Male - Male adapter cable.
