Default high performance air filter 09 RK

I am going to replace the air cleaner..........I did a search and still am unsure.

Which one of the aftermarket works best/lasts........dealer says all about the same as far as performance is concerned and SE is there choice........??

Also changing the pipes to Rinehearts.

Take a look at the fuelmoto site. Their filters are K&N type. You may want to also check out their fuel management.

I like the Performance Machine Super Gas a/c unit. It's marketed as a Roland Sands product as well. I like the looks but the better reason I like it is that it's open to the venturi in the center of the a/c. So, it pulls air through the filter around the perimeter as a normal a/c would, but it also pulls air through a separate filter directly through the center. There are a few others that have this feature but I believing more breathing is better. Bob

Take a look at the Doherty, link below.
I am using it and very happy with the product.
Ride safe.

The SE works just fine and you can always switch the filter to K&N later. The Ness Big Sucker is almost the same and is a good value.

The SE Heavy Breather is the best Hi Flo A/C I 've ever run.It works like a cold air intake used on cars. All the other ones that I have used draw hot air in from the motor side.W/the A/C cover.Regards,Tom ps: there is a pm that draws air in from the center,it may be cool too

I have a rain sock that circles the filter element and has a small circular cover for the veturi area in the middle as well.

It's a black fine mesh material that breathes easy but repels rain. I leave it on all the time (in case I'm caught out in a shower or the a/c gets wet when I wash the bike. I bought it from Wimmer for less than $30 including shipping. It's a number SSRS-1. Bob
