Default touring vs. dyna vibration

Howdy! Just test rode the street glide in sturgis. Awesome bike! my question is -- will a passenger feel vibration through the backrest on a touring bike like it is felt on a dyna? My wife gets vibration in the backrest on my superglide custom. Would this happen on a touring model, being that they are both rubber mounted. I know the rubber mounts are different, but I just wanna be sure that the next bike I buy wont shake my wife's back. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

All I can tell you is my wife doesn't complain about the vibration on ours. Only time there seems to be vibration is obviously at a stop (the damn bike shakes being a harley). Once we are moving everything smooths out and riding is EXCELLENT. I have to sometimes touch her knee to see if she's awake back there

The rubber mount systems are quite different between the Dynas and Touring models, so they do not behave the same. Best thing is to take your wife out on another test drive. Doesn't do to guess about these things where women are concerned! You may need her support if you decide to change and the sooner she comes 'on board' the better.

My wife is amazed at how the bike vibrates while stopped but gets smooth as butter when on the go. As said earlier take her on a "test" run and let her see for herself.

I have noticed a little difference between my Wide Glide and my Ultra in terms of vibration, mostly at higher speeds - Ultra being a little smoother. Idle seems about the same. My wife and my niece have noticed vibration in their arms while resting them on the arm rests on the tour pack but nothing bad. Wife is friggin ecstatic about the tour pack backrest - she hated riding on the Wide Glide.
