Default Do you burn MP3's

I started burning my music to CD's in MP3 format. I was amazed that I could get 7-8 hours of music on the CD. That's a full day of riding with no commercials.....lol Just curious how many of you go this route?

I do. I just wish you could put songs in folders on the HK radio like I can on the radio in my truck.

I've been doing that for awhile. Audiophiles claim that the sound quality of MP3s isn't as good as some of the other formats, such as FLAC, but I defy anyone to be able to tell the difference on a bike, or even in a car.

I have yet to be able to burn a mp3. You'd think at 35yrs old I would be more computer savvy. However, I am not.

All your MP3 files have to be at the root (no folders) and make sure you have nothing but MP3 files on the CD (no cover art, txt files etc) and lastly ensure you finalize the disk. The HK radio is really finicky

Yeah been doing it for years ... great invention.
Only problem is I don't have any tunes on my bike.
On long trips I usually sing the same some until I go insane.

I used to do that, but found XM. Always seem to have the variety of what I want to listen to.

Still keep a backup MP3 in the player for the mountain twisties, XM reception is spotty in the wooded mountains. Better than messing with ipod on the bike.

I just started doing it. But I don't have many songs I want to listen to on the bike. I have 70 songs and that will last me all day, but mine held 130 and 10 hours the first time I did it. But I edited out 60 songs that weren't bike worthy. I NEED MORE SONGS. lol

I also have the XM hook up but the sound volume is better with the CDs.....and X-M doesn't always have bike worthy music. lol
I do about 1/2 CDs (MP3s) and 1/2 X-M while riding.
I never use the radio (FM). I even took off the antenna.
