Default First post, first bagger, same old questions.

Hello all, I have reading this forum for a while now, and have been building custom bikes for 30+ years and I have now moved up too a bagger, a 2008 R.G. My plan is to custom it up a bit with the following, Sinister rear fender, Dragonfly"s new front fender, extended tanks, narrowed seat H.D. seat, sectioned and narrowed tour pak and a complete candy paint job. I can do all of this by myself. However these are my questions. I will be lowering the rear by 1 inch using blocks, using tri glide 3 degree trees which should lower the front end. Since I like my bikes low should I use a 16 or 18 inch rear wheel, is the 18 any taller compared to a stock rear wheel and tire? I also plan on a 21 front wheel, which I have read will raise the front by one inch, so with that in mind will I need to lower the front end to make it level, if so how much? I'm thinking 1/2 to 3/4 inch, does anyone make a lowering kit in those small amounts or is there another way. Thanks for any help to my somewhat odd question.

Well, let s see, I have had feature bikes in easyrider, Iron horse, hot bike, I have been a professional bike show judge for over 20 years, I have built from the ground up cb 75o's, one with a blower, a kz 900 that was the internation radical bike champion in the Isca car show circit in the eighties, I currently have 90 Fxr that looks like a mid fifties Buick with port holes, a 2005 88b hardtail custom, a very wild 2001 deuce, a Ness style digger xl, a custom victory pitboss, and I have built 2 xl's for my wife, one a 2007 that I turned into a mini baggerwith the bags and rear fender appearing to be one piece. Sorry if I did not explain my bike history and I see you were joshing and maybe I'm defensive about my bikes, but if you were from the Pacific n.w. you may have seen my work. Once I agin I was simply trying find a way to make my bike level with my intended mods. If I was not clear sorry.
