They will but like sled said in the other thread, they have to come up with a sure fire cure, it will cost them a bunch of dough time they furnish parts and pay dealers to change them out, this is not a new problem, in my research I came across servicw bulliten # M-1170 which is the Compensating Sproket torque procedure, it was to cure this same type problem on some 2003-2005 softail, touring and dyna models and fixed the problem and became standard proceure for the factory in may of 05. This was one reason they redesigned the comp sproket, also this weaker spring version can also be linked to the starter clunk. They will get it right but to expect it to happen in a few weeks is expecting to much as Im sure this all caught them by surprise.
So much for the intensive testing.Dont you think someone wouldve picked this out way before models came out?Sounds more like an assembly line or vendor mistake since some people have it while others dont. And they tell Hollywood today that no fix is coming. That we have to live w/this?Sounds like a C/S women out of the loop.
I have an 07 Ultra with about 1800 miles. I changed my fluids at 750 miles. The trans does whine a little in 5th but it has gotton progressively quieter as the miles accumulate. I used type 3 in the trans and primary
I also have a 2007 FLHTCU and I had the same problem as you rattles and marbles at 55 to 70 mph, keep the power on and it goes away. let off a little and it was wright back. I did a major clutch adjustment by the book and changed the primary oil to 20/50 amsoil syn and the noise went away for about two days. I belive the noise is in the clutch release somewhere in the trans cover that says 6 speed marbles.
im as concerned as the rest, but mine doesnt rattle, but ive found her sweet spots and its 2500 -3000 rpm, this range in any gear she preforms great, there is a break in period with this new setup ive not had on twin cam and evo models, mine clunked hard when putting into any gear when i picked her up but now at 200+ miles its smoother and quiter, deciced to wait on trans and primary fluid changes to give her some more break in time. As for power and smoothness, hands down better than any other hd ive had.
I would change that transmission fluid now and the primary and do it again at 500 miles, plus do a major clutch adjustment. I can not tell you in a e-mail how much crap came from that transmission and primary assembly. This never happened to my 2004 FLHTCI. I am really up-set at Harley for this. Plus my gas milage really stinks, getting around 32 mpg on a short 200 mile trip. My 2004 was suuch a better bike, I only traded because the warranty was up and I ran her up to thirty two thousand miles. Oh well live and learn, read and road test first. If the problems persist and not corrected soon by Harley, I will hang up the hogs and and go to gold wing. I just hope I can get some good bucks on trade.[:@]

From what i'm experiencing, the tranny whines in 1st and 5th, has a light for 6th - what can we come up with for 2nd, 3rd and 4th? Maybe the horn goes off?
I just came off an '06 FX Springer and now own an '07 Street Glide. The '07 definately likes higher rpm's - it takes some getting used to, but overall, I like the new transmission.
As far as dealing with tranny noises, I just go back to a widely used technique to fix any mechanical noise - turn up the stereo.
