don't know what the e3rw is. But I can't say since putting a 160/90/16 on th rear and a 130/70/18 (2010 front rim) on my 2008 it's like I have a new bike. It's night and day over the 402's. I'll go as far as saying if I get a new bike and it has 402's they'll be on eBay as new take offs.
I too will never run 402's again. The E3 on the rear grips much better than the 402.
When I first got my 08 I thought I screwed up not getting the ABS option. There were several times I got in trouble with the back end trying to get in front of the front end.
Then I put an E3 on the rear and Have been happy ever since. Never have a problem with it like I did the 402.
I am going to get about 10,000 miles out of the E3 MU85B-16 I put on the rear of my 2007 Ultra. I am going to try an Avon or Metzler next. Have had good service out of both in the past. Dunlop has got enough of my money for a while.
I have the E3s on my 07 RKC and I have put about 4k on them so far, I am here to say they are awesome tires they feel like they hold the road better. I also get the humming. That's my report hope it helps!
