we're supposed to be in the worst financial situation since the Great Depression....talk with ur money and some of these clowns will be layed off ..maybe permanently....
Anytime you are dealing with something so elusive as fitting a seat to the shape of your ***, you are definitely going to run into problems. At best it is probably a 50/50 chance that you are going to be satisfied with the results. Lots of people don't mind doing business under those terms, but for a old sob like myself, I would sure as hell want to see if my fat *** would fit comfortably in the seat before I send money via mailorder to Corbin or anyone else, for that matter. I feel sorry for the original poster who sent in his money and was not satisfied with the results.
Any company who would sell you something over the internet or telephone and not allow you to return it in "saleable" condition without charging you a big, fat return fee just blows! I can see where you might have to pay shipping charges, but to walk it back to the stocking aisle and charge you $20.00, well that is nothing short of rape. Given all the negative press here concerning their questionable customer service will certainly cost Corbin more than what they charged for their 'restocking fee". Smart companies know this instinctively, not so smart companies have to learn the hard way. Some never learn, they just gain a reputation for having real lousy customer service, which ends up costing them sales.
I ordered a seat, back in November 21, 2012. I paid for it by credit card and my bank shows it being paid. This is now January 17, 2013 and I still haven't received my seat. They told me it was ready in December, then where is it? I emailed and called several times and each time they tell me it'll ship on such and such a date, but it never arrives. Each time I call I get a different person who tells me it's still in shipping.
If you want to be lied to, then order a seat from Corbin and call to find out what's taking so long.
I say, "DON'T BUY FROM CORBIN". They have customer Service issues, big time.
BTW, this is my third Corbin seat, but the first one I ordered online direct from the factory.
What a shame that their customer relations suck.
you want to file a dispute with the Credit Card company as soon as possible -90 days go by and you are done- Corbin keeps your money.
Do it today.
It is entirely possible that Corbin will fill and deliver your order once they get word that there is a dispute filed on this transaction.
--- I have had my own problems with Corbin-- the seat was a concern and the customer service was horrible. They'll never see a penny from me.
Short version:
Seat as delivered was hard and horrible to ride.
Call Corbin, they say "it'll break in, give it a few moths- if not, call back and we'll re-do the seat"
a Few months later I call back and they say "Too late"
Shortly afterwards ( less than a year old) I notice the vinyl basketweave is starting to crack - they say "sun exposure" I say the bike is never left in the sun- it is either parked in the garage or my *** is providing shade for the seat.
I realize at this point that I am getting nowhere.
My first letter to Mike Corbin was unanswered.
my second letter, also unanswered, promised that i would use every opportunity to share my poor experience with their product and their after sale care.
Once they have you cash in pocket- they are done with you.
Mike

I had a poor customer service experience with Corbin many years ago. I've made it a point to always ride something else ever since. I may not starve them out by myself but it sounds like they're trying to recruit more people to help me

File a dispute IMMEDIATELY. Also, not sure if things have changed in the last few years, but being in the business for 15 years, I recall it being illegal to charge a customers credit card until the order was prepared to ship. Custom or special orders were allowed a "deposit" charge, and all purchases were allowed a "pre authorization", but to take your money and sit on it (pun intended) while you pay interest for months on end was a no no. Maybe a current vendor can chime in on this.
I waa considering a Corbin but negative press led me to buy a used Sundowner seat...glad i did, love the Sundowner...i e-mail them about the negative customer service,
