Default Oil Level and Temp Dipstick

I'm thinking of buying a oil level and temperature dipstick with the led readout. What's your opinion of these? Seems to be a quick way to check oil level. Thanks

No real input from me seeing I don't own one but I have heard a bunch of mixed feed back on them. Mostly negative.

Had 3 of them on my 08 EGS the First 2 quit after a couple months .. the 3rd one which won at a raffle drawing on a Benefit run worked fine for the next year owned the Bike .. Figures that a free one would work fine and one paid good money for didn't work for **** .. Do I recommend them? No.. If really concerned about your Oil temperature Hook up a Thermometer ..

I bought one for my 07 ultra. I still use it on my2010 even though I added the in dash oil temp gauge. Changed the battery once.

I bought one so I could check the oil level with ease. I guess it works for that.
The last one lasted about a year.

For me there is now way to read the oil temp while driving down the road unless you are a gymnast or the Rubber Man from the circus.

If you just want to check your temp this will work better.

I've had mine for about 3 months, 7000 miles; so far so good.

As long as you have both the temperature dipstick and the dash oil temp gauge, how close do these two read for temp. Interested to know if you get the same reading during a ride
