Default Drivers backrest

I just got my drivers backrest from ChicagoHarley, I put it on the bike. Any suggestions on which hole people used on the mounting bracket to the fender? Also my set screw in the backrest was not there. Any Idea what size and length it is, I think it takes a 3/16 bit to adjust it.

On mine I can only use the two holes to the back as it sits on the rear fender. I tried the third hole and it is so far back that can't get my backrest in after I put the seat back on. As for the set screw I would contact the ChicagoHD and ask that they send me a set screw or replace the backrest.

I have the comfort stitch HD Backrest I'm getting ready to post in the Classified section. I put the bracket in the second holes from the front. I'm 6 Ft. w/ 32 inch inseam. I tried the front hole, but found that it pulled at the rear of the opening in my stock seat. I just bought a new Mustang super touring solo w/ rider backrest built in. I've got to take some pics and post mine for sale. Good Luck!!!

The screw is 5/16X18 THD. I can't tell how long is, But in my instructions it says not to remove it because it is hard to replace. I think I would send it back.

I had to use the second from the front hole. the seat wouldn't go on if I used the 3rd or 4th hole. as it was, I had to wrestle with it, to get the seatrest in the bracket, before bolting the seat down.
