Bought an '07 FLHT and the previous owner had done a TD conversion (don't know which version) and it looks like crap.
I have figured out that I can cover the right side with the extenders (from debrix and harleygoodies)
The last part of the equation is the left side...the owner dented the heat shield badly and then cut a jagged crescent into the top to fit around the o2 sensor....
I've looked at pictures at the fullsac website (torres is nowhere to be found) and a few on hdforums, but they have all been from the right side....can anybody show me how they did it with the left? I have to figure out which part(s) to buy...but using the OEM blowup picture, it looks like there were 2 Heat Shields on the left side... Can anyone tell me which one(s) are used, and how they were put on? It's hard for me to visualize since I've never seen the stock setup nor what a correctly done TD conversion looks like...
Pics would be great!
Thanks very much...

I put the Fullsac true duals on my '03 Ultra a couple of years ago. Don't have any good pics of the left side and sold the bike several months ago so I can't even look at it now. As I recall the heat shields (2) from the right side down tube were used on the left as the right side down tube is replaced with the true dual kit.
Are they pretty much a perfect fit, or did they need to be bent?
I am trying to decide whether to try to buy heat shields to replace these or try to scrape up some dough to replace the system.
If I can find the correct heat shields cheaply enough on ebay I'll go that route. It's just hard to know which/how they were used without being able to see what is done in the conversion.
On my '08 I used the original heat shields. looks OEM with no mods needed. on the right side Harley goodies makes a one piece 24" heat shield to replace the OEM two piece setup. makes for a very neat and clean install.
The one piece heat shield on the right probably looks better than the reusing the 2 stock heat shields. On mine the gap between the 2 pieces did not give a clean look.
I had the fullsac conversion on my bike earlier this year. The left side looked just fine with the original heat shield. The right side looked cobbled together no matter how I arranged the heat shields. If you're going to use the fullsac conversion you should definitely get the Harley goodies heat shield for the right side.
