OK, here's what confuses me about the TTS. You've got to have the narrow band O2 sensors, which are worthless in the AFR area we all want to run in. So what good are the O2 sensors unless you are running14+AFR?
How can you get decent results from a control loop that is using a narrowband sensor, that won't operate in the range you want to control to?
I know this sounds confrontational, but it's not. The above question is what confuses me about TTS. I have heard a lot of good things about TTS, but as a control engineer, it doesn't make sense to me.
I would appreciate any information that would enlighten me.
You just set as much of the afr table as you can to 14.6 (just a switch to turn on closed loop, actual afr is determined by the clb table) Now you can collect vtune data to calibrate most of the ve tables. Then you switch the afr table back to the original or what you want and your fuel requirements are calculated from the ve tables. Basically you are just using the data from o2 sensors to calibrate the areas where you don't normally ride in closed loop.
Run TTS on my '11 Ultra Limited and love it. Mr. Wizard, here on these forums, is a master of TTS. Jump in the tech for and look at the TTS thread, he will help you out.
I run a 107 CI map in mine, believe it or not. She will flat out get it.

I have TTS and after LSR 2-1 and air cleaner, knocked out a new tune in 3 sessions. Scoot gets 42-43 MPG, and SOP is nice. VTune does not "suck", it rocks. I just installed a set of Woods 555 and will take it to get tuned. Timing events are critical, and nothing is close canned map wise. Good luck.
Steve , I think he means this. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/elect...formation.html
Very interesting reading.
Being an Auto Mechanic , this has me quite intrigued.
Oddly enough , I can understand most of it already.......

Thanks Mick. A lot to read there. Nice to have Mr. Wizard if I need him.
I'll have my bike back together in a couple weeks. Waiting on parts right now.
