I would like to replace the exhaust on my 2011 103 street glide. I do not like that loud rasping noise from some exhaust systems. I would prefer a nice deep growl. What would your ideas be? Thank you
My son just installed the V&H power duals and High Output mufflers on his 2011 SG. Low RPM excelleration now reminds me of the old twin cylinder farm tractors, not an uncomfortable volume just a nice deep rumble and at cruising speeds I didn't have to run the stereo any louder than before to hear it. I'll be putting the same thing on my '09 EG as soon as my checkbook can handle it.
I just bought some V&H Dresser Duals and plan to add V&H Hi-Output slip-ons. I plan to ride a friend's 110 SE RG Ultra this weekend with this setup. I figure with my 103 engine, it will be a little less loud. After I ride the SE I will decide if it is too loud or not. If too loud, I will go with V&H Monster Ovals slip-ons with the Dresser Duals. Both the Hi-Output and Monster Ovals have the deep low growl, just one is louder than the other.
