Good insurance, HD security system, and covered with a no name full cover. I also do like Mike and park as close as possible to the nicest bike I can (maybe that nice flashy ride will draw the thieves off my dirty, bug encrusted ride).
It must work!! I don't use a cover or any other locks except what came on the bike, and have never put the audible alarm on the security system, BUT I really do try to park near the nicer looking bikes! So far so good. Of course I haven't been up in the NE or out on the west coast either. All my trips out of state have either been to the Smokies or the Rockies.
Near the loby is a great thing if ya can. Most places are good about that. Cable locks thru both wheels for me also in addition to fork lock and factory security.
