Thumbs up

That brace looks very similar to the progressive suspension piece, I had mine installed at the sturgis rally, and yea it made a big difference. I'd say the piece you are looking at is a good buy.

I dont have one but I just bought one! I talked to a buddie of mine who is an HD service tech and was talking about why my bike rides horrible with the 21" wheel and he said the bigger wheel make the rear steer and wobble more evident. He recommended a brace so I have the progressive touring link on its way from a fellow board member for a decent price. From what he says they are well worth the coin.

There used to be lots of conversations on this forum about them before the frame changes in 2009. Most folks were very pleased with the improvements but there were always those who said the braces were unnecessary. From everything I remember reading back then, as I was originally aiming for a 2008 model, I'm pretty sure I would have had one installed sooner or later.

If you're feeling some frame flex or wobble under certain circumstances, I'd put one on the bike. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good luck & Ride Safe,
Steve R.

A friend & I both bought that same stabilizer, very good product & the improvement is noticeable. I got the one for up to 2001 & buddy got one for his 08, the early model one is a snap & you can hardly see it's there. The one you have pictured is for 02 up & is pretty easy also, but you'll probably have to loosen your exhaust to mount the plate. The quality is good & shipping is fast, the only negative is he doesn't include instructions, but if you can't figure it out you probably shouldn't be doing it yourself.

I had the Glide-Pro system installed.. It did not make sense to me to simply transfer the stress to another spot.. The Glide-Pro system tackles and solves the root of the problem..
