I am considering changing my pipes. I was told by my Harley dealer that screaming eagles would be covered under warranty but if I used anything other than what Harley recommends they might not warranty my 2011 UC.
Anyone have a experience with this. Also what slip ons give a nice sound and I can still hear the radio?
I put on screaming eagle 65115-10's on my 2011 RGU and they sound exactly like I was hoping they would. Nice mellow rumble. I do not know what they sound like to someone standing on the side of the road as I go past but from the drivers seat they sound perfect. I did a stage 1 Air cleaner as well and stage 1 down load and very happy with how it runs.

Do you still have the stock header on your RG? If so how is the heat from the cat?....did it lessen with the d/l and stage 1 cleaner?
You can hear the radio with any exhaust unless you are just sitting still listening to the radio while revving your engine. When riding on the road the exhaust sound is behind you.
Don't know about the warranty. They would have to show that the non HD pipes caused the problem and that is not likely.
I have the older SE slip-ons #65115-98B. I have been told that they sound better than the newer ones. I don't know but they do sound sweet. Your dealer may still have the older ones.
I am thinking about switching to unbaffled Samson fishtail slip-ons mainly to pizz off those on this forum that keep posting that loud pipes are going to bring the government down on all of us.

I have the stock headers. Heat is not that bad to me. It has not changed from 100% stock to the stage 1 upgrade. I have previously owned a honda ST1300 so compared to that harleys have air conditioning.
I'm wondering if those SE mufflers will get a lot louder with an aftermarket head pipe such as Dresser or Power Duals on there.......seems to me that the cat suppresses a lot of the noise
