Dealer -
But not the part where you have to drive 25 minutes to the next HD dealer.
If I skip out on my local dealer it's 1 1/2 hours to the next two closest dealers and 2 hours to the 3rd closest.
I am thinking of going back to my SEPST and wish I could find someone who has used Kellys Performance Specialist here in Kingman. Maybe I should look for a Vegas tuner?
To OP, I can understand your frustration but see the dealer side as well. Still...if I just bought a $22K bike there and got that response my wallet would likely go elsewhere also.

There is a independent here in Vegas called Sinister Cycles; so far I've only had them install a tire but I plan to try them in the future for other things; I think its owned by a husband/wife team and they seem to know whats up. I have never heard anything bad and that kind of news travels fast here. Perhaps you should give them a call. If you do use them please post your opinion as I'd like more feed back on them as well.
1. A really good point, and that's why I did this job myself too. My fear was that the dealership would just loosen the inner primary to swap the rotors and re tighten -- maybe half expecting to see me come in X 000's miles later with a leak. That would be a real bummer.
2. As far as the OP's argument, I can see both sides, but wish the dealer had maybe given him a one-time free pass seeing that he bought the bike there, and then explained their policy.
3. While I try to do as much of my own work as possible, I also make it a point to never get too sideways with a local dealer no matter how unfair the situation in case I need the clown for a recall, emergency repair, something way beyond my skill and/or tool set, etc.
4. I just accept that dealing with dealerships is a game, and it's best to know the rules going in -- the house usually wins. When I bought my two Harley's -- no matter how expensive/over-priced/"this thing should be perfect for that much money" one may feel -- I knew that true to their reputation/history, they would still break, fail, and require a few trips to the dealership.
In other words, I knew the rules going in.
I only will use them for warranty work!
Anything else I take it to Cyclepath Cycle. http://www.cyclepathcycle.com/index.html
If after the warranty is up in Feb. 2011 and I need dealer work done, I'll try Fullerton HD.
