Big feet and heel shifters don't go together. First thing I take off so I have more room on the board.

I tried it, never cared much for it. Took it off and haven't looked back.

The top of my boot has never touched the shifter.

I need it on there to keep from rubbing the hair off the top of my toes using a toe shifter...

i have small enough feet to were i dont have any issues and i like it. doesn't mess up the tips of my cowboy boots

I wouldn't be without it. Love it. I use an extended length shifter from Walter's Workshop to give me some more room, though. I'd fully recommend this mod to anyone who thinks the heel shifter makes the board area too cramped.
