I've used it a couple of times but didn't like lifting my heel so high. I haven't thought too much about it. I think I'll try lowering it and see if that works better for me.

toe shift only on the road king. Rear is too short for my 15 EEEE boot and too cheap to buy a longer one.
Use both on the shovelhead.

Took off the heel shifter the first week I owned my StreetGlide. It always got in the way, and took up valuable space on the floorboard.

With the Harley Goodies 1 inch floorboard extenders installed, I even have more room, as the toe shifter in now inset a little bit from the floorboard.

I use it all the time. My Road King is my first bike with a heel shifter. I didn't think I would like it, but I do.

Mine came in handy when the bike was new and it was hard to find neutral. I could just tap the heel shifter from 1st to neutral. Pulling up on the toe shifter, it would jump into 2nd every time. Since it's broken in and easy to find neutral, I removed the heel shifter. I never used it to shift while riding anyway.

About the only time I use the heel shifter is when I an in my garage and want to get to neutral. Other than that, it is toe shift.

I came over from Sport Bikes about 10 years ago. I was so used to toe shifters only, I thought I would hate the heel shifter. I'll never go back to just a toe shifter.

Hated it at first but am used to it now.
Seems to be more clunky when using it.
My jury is out

Never used one before, but when I test drove my Road King just prior to buying tried it. Haven't shifted without it since. I might try adjusting them both down to see if that gives me some more room, but they don't seem to be in the way the way they are currently set up.
