Most Harley FLHs I've seen right from the factory have the toe and heel shifter adjusted too high. I'm guessing that way it accomodates the rider that comes from a toe shifter only. Unfortunately you can develop a real bad attitude about the heel shifter if it isn't adjusted low enough. Adjust the heel and toe shifters just above the boards and you'll never go back to toe shifting...just my .02

I have to admit, I don't quite understand that either, but, it's their bike, I guess.

I use mine ALL the time. I have tried not using it and it just doesn't "feel right". Heal/toe and save your boots!

Ride safe!

Unable to adapt to it and removed it after about 700 miles.

I can't see how you size 12 & 13 guys can even get your boot in between them.
Simple, you put shift levers on that are long enough to fit your size 12s inside.

I use it occasionally mainly on long trips allows me to move my foot about a bit more than by just using the toe shiftero

My last bike didn't have one. I always use it on my Road King.

The first thing I remove. Been toe shifting only for 30 years. The heel shifter just gets in the way.
