Default Love the new 103 Motor

Sold my 97 WG and my 08 Ultra and picked up a new 2011 RK. Man that 103 is awesome, pulling power leaves the 96 for dead. Had a Stage one on the Ultra and have also done this with the RK. I know the bike is a bit lighter but the difference is night and day. Picked her up from the dealers and rode steady for the first 50 mile then basically let her rip...within reason...no need to change down to pass the tin tops now...

I never thought I would have a 103 but found a great deal on an 09 rg with the 103, low mileage. I don't think I could go backwards either. Do yourself a favor and get jamie to send u a pcv and jackpots and u will really be smiling, great torque.

If you like it with a good stage I, you'd love it with a decent set of cams.

I just went from an 88B to the 103. It's like going from a Yugo to a Vette.

I had an 88 in a RKC with a stage I mode and a 95 kit in an 04 Ultra Classic. Bought both of those bikes used. The 103 in my new UC Ltd is the best motor so far. I wouldn't dare crack that engine open to add anything. It is not necessary. Whenever you crack open an engine, you run a very high risk of screwing up the balance of that motor, and for what? A few extra hp and a little more torque? (and a lot of new useless vibration?) And you get that only at rpms that you will NEVER ride at for any length of time at all if ever? Hell, go buy a Goldwing if you want a lot of horsepower and torque. You can add all the extras you want to a Harley engine, and you will still be left in the dust by most any sport bike right off the showroom floor. Get use to it. As for me, I will enjoy my stock 103...might consider later the addition of a PC and some other headers and mufflers, but that's way down the road.

Yep, I love the 103 too. You really notice the difference when pulling up hills - tends to put distance between you and other bikes
