I must have done something wrong as it was too easy the way I did it and I was flying solo LOL. Maybe they changed the directions but I followed them and it was a piece of cake.

Can you leave the top cover on and just do one hinge at a time?

Please, explain to us how you did it. I couldn't hold the TourPak lid in place, hold the top portion of the new hinge in place and tighten the screws of the hinge at the same time with 2 hands.
I might have been able to do the 2nd hinge alone but not the first.

I set the lid on the box in the open position and let it lean back against the teether strap and it stayed in place while I screwed the screws in the lower section. There was no wrestling it or fumbling with it. It just stayed in the upright open position while I fastened one hinge and then the other.

This is what the instructions said and exactly how I did it. Worked great with no problems,

Put them on last night. Not bad, I did drill out the holes little to allow for easier installation of the hardware.

Looking back now, That is the way I should have done it, it would have been easier. The directions, as usual, suck.

I also installed them on my TP. If I would do them again, I would install one hinge at the time. This should make installation easier.

Another negative about the old hinges is that anyone can unscrew the hinge pins and remove them to open the lid... Not good.
