Default Will it fit / work ? 103 in a 99 frame

Hello all,

Found a 103" engine out of a 08 FLHP. I have a 95" in my 99 FLH eglide. has anyone swapped an 08 engine into a 99-07 frame with a 5 sp. tranny ? if so, were there any problems or issues ?

thanks in advance for any help.

The motor mounts were moved for the 96 motor.

For some reason I'm thinking there's clearance issues with the motor being taller, but I can't for the life of me figure out why that might be.

The only outer difference I can think of, is the top adjustable mount was moved in 08 to accommodate the 6 gallon tank. As far as the ECM and other stuff you may need to purchase to make the new engine run, is different than your 99.The 96 is just an 88 with a few different internal parts.

I'd save the trouble and just put 103 heads on. The casting for 88's, 96's, and 103's are cut from the same jug.

I keep hearing it can be done, but I wish I knew someone that has done it and could post some pics. It seems there is an abundance of 07+ take out 96s and 103s lately.

With massive amounts of money anything is possible, but this is not feasable. Tranny to motor is completely diff on the 96" vs 88"
