I find it funny how the question was answered in like post 2 and people keep on coming back to answer the question repeating what 10 people said before them like it was never answered 10 timed before that.

It's cool though. Some people learn by repetition....

one thing to remember is that locktite comes in different colors for different applications. make sure to use the correct one. on the bike, most common use will proly be blue. i keep plenty of blue and a small bottle of red.

It wasn't a dumb question at all.

Now this on the other hand is a dumb question: Why does my horn cover vibrate?

Nothing to be sorry for Charlie. Just making light of the situation...
I'm sure everyone appreciates the input.

Like Duct Tape & WD40; if it moves and shouldn't - use Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should - use WD40........

not to pick nits, but Loctite is a company - thread lock is a generic term that is sometimes used synonomously with Loctite. Think Kleenex and "facial tissue", Xerox and "photo copy", that sort of thing.

Oh, and did someone mention that there is Red which is "permanent" and Blue which is.... not so permanent?

Been using it on my scoot for 5 different plug changes and never a problem. Like someone else said, use a torque wrench!
