Here it is the last day of January, and order still hasn't shipped.
Order date: 11-29-2010
Called on 01-19-2011 to check, and was told that some orders failed to get entered into the system correctly.
They fixed the issue and re-submitted the orders on 12-20-2010.
So, here it is over a month later and still nothing.
Two full months since placing the order.
WELLL SAY GOODBYE TO 20% off!!!! Chicago hd started that discount over 10 years ago way before othere stealers, with all you whining cry babies they now offer only 10%....so I can guarantee the other dealers will also follow now that they don't need to compete with the 20%
Chicago HD's terrible service wasn't worth the 20% discount and certainly isn't worth a 10% discount. I wouldn't order anything else from them even at a 30% discount.
+1 w/ problems w/ them. I've been using Zanotti's for my last few orders and I will be remaining w/ them as well. Besides, there prices are MUCH better than Chicago H-D!! Compare them, I dare ya...lol!
I placed an order w/ them 18 Dec. LCD dipstick, wheel/tire brush, and painted saddlebag fillers. 20 Dec got an email saying they were on b/o from Harley. Really, they don't even have the brush in stock?? Called on the 25th of Jan to get a status and they said they would try and get my items in a smaller order. I called today, 31 Jan and one of my items (painted part) never got ordered until the 25th. The computer forgot to order it...right. They expect at least an 18 day order fulfillment from Harley. The LCD dipstick and brush were in though, but gonna wait till the saddlebag fillers come in. Not going to pay double shipping to an APO. This f!@# up is the icing on the cake and I will no longer do business w/ them. Order from Zanotti, just my .02 worth.

I got that same song and dance when I was waiting for an order I placed in early November which. The 1st excuse was it didn't get into the system correctly and I would have it the following week. The following week came and went so I called the week after that and was told the order was there but someone forgot to ship it out, I got it the following week. I ordered around the 10th of November and didn't get it until the end of December, I won't do business with Chicago anymore. I've moved my business back to Zanotti even though I feel I take somewhat of a hosing on shipping from time to time. In the end it is still cheaper than buying it from a local dealer.

I would cancel the order and re-order from Zanotti's. If CHD fails to credit your credit card in a few days I would call your card company and file a protest, or whatever they call it. It's been a while since I ordered from Chicago but have never had more than a one-month delay in a shipment.
As for pricing, Zanotti's usually has lower prices but not always. They price using a cost-plus method while Chicago is always MSRP-20% on HD parts. I've always compared prices, then ordered from the lowest quote including shipping, but I will likely leave CHD off my list from now on based on the feedback I'm reading here.

Chicago HD is owned by Barry Brown. You should give him a call.
ordered a service manual on nov 10 from CHD. never received it so i called mid Jan. man tells me a bunch of orders got screwed up and i should get it soon. got it a week later. two and half months for a service manual....last time ordering from CHD.
sorry for all you're grief gentleman, mine had a silver lining, walked into my local dealer the 24th, he was, has been slow, he offered me the kit at 24% off list, it came in today, and is sitting in the middle of the living room floor, and no ship charges! wish you all the best in resolving with them, they are sly, and sneeky as we have found, they call you're orders "special ordered parts" really makes it hard for credit card companys to dispute, I tried that one.
