Give the dealers that WILL sell to us at below MSRP a f*(kin break.

Never had a problem with CHD, and I've ordered plenty from them......but if you want it tomorrow, you better have ordered it 6 weeks ago!!!!
You want the savings.....plan for it.

I placed an order November 8 and it just now shipped, I had to call them twice. Two weeks ago I called and was told it would be sent ASAP. I called again late last week and was told my stuff just arrived and would ship that day. Last 3 orders have taken a month or more and they have charged my credit card at the time the order has been placed on each of those occasions. This past summer I placed a few orders and received them within a week. Like others I'm switching to someone else for my online business. My dad has used Zanotti for years and he gets great communication and 90% of his orders are delivered within a weeks time.

Friend of mine ordered a SE aircleaner and chrome back plate.....6 weeks ago. Had ordered a 103 BB kit 6 weeks before that. He called and the guy tells him that the MoCo was having a "problem" with their (Chi HD) invoices. Now that says to me that there is a "cash flow" problem somewhere within Chi HD and if what someone else posted here, that they went to 10% discount vs 20%, it would seem the cash flow problem could well be true. I've had problems with my last two orders also. I'll be ordering from someone else from now on. I've checked prices between Chi HD, Zanotti's and I think it was Lake Shore. Most times prices at Chi HD prices are higher. So.....so long Chicago Harley! Just my 2 cents.

Big box from Surdyke just came yesterday. Just in time for Christmas..

Order was placed 12/11,.. so 10 days start to finish.. Shipping was half of what CHD wanted, and still cheaper than Zanotti's rates. The parts were cheaper than both CHD and Zanotti's as well. Shipping was about what sales tax would have been, so I still saved over 20%..

Can't beat their communication either.., I received three emails.. the automated "we got your order" that immediately came after purchasing, another email when a human read it/ processed it, and the third when it was shipped with the tracking number.

My local dealer will give me 20% on parts but only if he bolts them on. It's a 2 year thing he does with new bike purchases.

I talked to Chicago HD a couple weeks ago. They told me they now only offer 10%, not 20%. I was a little disappointed because I used to make a long drive up there a couple times a year to get stuff for my three bikes and for several friends. At 10%, it ain't worth the trip. Regarding CHD's mail order - I have used it many times and have been very satisfied. One time they held an order up for a few week because one of the items was on back-order. When I talked to the parts guy, I told him to cancel that item and ship the rest. They did and I had the stuff in a couple days.

Depends I guess. I can usually squeek a 10-15 % discount here locally.
in a word, yes! i just ordered 4 items from zanottis, fairing lowers, compartment liner, wind deflector, and a shirt. even with the military discount that the local gives, by the time you add in sales tax, etc. i saved $150.00.

if it's a part that i need right frickin now, yes, i go to the local. if its a small part and i don't want to wait to add it to a bigger order, i go to the local. if i just want to buy something so that they 'remember' me and don't screw me hard(er), i go to the local.

i've tried chicago twice. not so good either time. i figured the first time, maybe a fluke, give them a second chance. nah. even though sometimes it may be cheaper to order through them vs. zanotti's, i have had nothing but stellar customer service through zanotti's, so i will pay the extra 5 or 10 bucks.

Chicago HD is known for shipping delays. I don't use them. Zanotti HD is a much better online retailer.

My orders with Chicago HD are done. The last two orders I had to wait a month for. I just placed an order with Zanottis and had it in a week. Their website said that they had to order it from HD and I thought "here we go again", but they got it in right away and it will be here Thursday. Local dealers NEVER give a discount on non aftermarket accessories here. I have one that always gives a discount on those so I buy locally when I can save money. Lowest price with decent service gets my money. I leared a long time ago that loyalty to a particular dealer only lasts as long as you spend money so treat them like the ****** they are. Use them and leave them when you are done and don't look back for anything more because they can care less.
