My experience with Chicago HD is that they are slow and give absolutely no communication about your order but they do come through. One day your parts will just show up on your doorstep. Lakeshore and Zanotti's are quicker and better about doing follow-up on order status.

Default Zanotti's

Ordered about $1,000 in parts from Zanotti's this summer. Took almost eight weeks to get them because they were on b/o from the moco but my credit card wasn't charged until the parts shipped. Communication wasn't the best, I had to keep emailing with a request to update status because they kept missing ship dates and I wasn't hearing anything from them. Still, considering the price, I would buy from them again.

I tried to order parts from them 2 weeks ago and was told that I wouldn't receive my parts until mid to late January! The guy didn't seem to want my business at all....

Haven't tried Chicago yet, but have used Zanotti's for quite a while and prices were pretty good. My customer service has always been decent too. Yeah, seems like they often just order the parts from HD after you place your order. No big deal for the most part. Curious thing lately though with Zanotti's, since they changed their website a tiny bit recently, their prices aren't as discounted as before. Seems like before they were about 20% and maybe a pinch extra on a few items and now it seems to be more like 14-16%. In fact, with their new prices and shipping factored in, I elected this time to go with my local on black friday for my new Agitator's for the Roadie this year. Uh, chrome for the Roadie though! I wonder what transpired with Zanotti's to instigate that change.

Just placed an order with Zanotti, checked pricing with Chicago and found they were $10.00 more, guess they are going away from the 20%. I placed the order with Zanotti and got an email about a half hour later saying the parts were in stock and would ship that day, I'm done with Chicago.

They have a two hour phone window though.
They also have "online customer service" from their home page,i used it the other night when my parts order came in @5pm via the brown truck, i realized i had mis ordered a part, john came on almost instantly, explained my problem,he explained HD changed the rider back rest in 09' so it was different than the one i bought in 08' and wouldnt fit my adjustable mount on the bike already, got a return number,no restock fee... and he took the time to look up what i had tried to get in a older parts book while i waited, found the part, sent me a file(in the message) with part numbers ,and asked if id wait while he looked to see if they still had one on the shelf(my model ajust rider back rest has been discontiued) he had one left and shipped it....that was monday, had it thusday.......
thats why i do buisness with them...........i've always gotten great customer service from them, and good prices

I've ordered a lot of stuff from Chicago HD. Very slow and calling don't help much. They seem very unorganized. All my business is now done at Zanottis. Very pleased with the service they provide.

Well after 12 weeks, and a few days, six phone calls I finally was told the se motor kit I ordered was on back order until April 1st. Did they honestly think I could be lied to for that length of time?Anyways the bike is torn down, no parts, called and canceled my daytona reservations. ANYONE who reads through these pages and orders from them is a fool. Oh and I had to take the other parts for the kit, or pay the big restock fee, so I have a 58mm hight flow kit which will probably end up in the trash(wont fit stocker). The electic compression releases will be used, but what a nightmare,STAY AWAY.
