I am interested in doing this mod. I do have a few questions though.
1. Why are you not using a hard line? Something like stainless tubing or something like that? The tygon (black) tubing seems to be the weak link in the system,
2. I have a 200/55-18 rear tire. When I loose air pressure and hit a bump the rear tire hits the fender. So my question is what size tires are you running?

In case you havent noticed this forum is full of exaggerators! These monroes are NOTHING like riding a rigid frame when they have no air. No its not the preferred setting for maximum comfort but it wasnt bad! The roads were for the most part pretty smooth.

I am probably gonna use copper tubing when i do my sig bike this winter. The bike i just finished i used the white tubing that came with the shocks. I figured if it was good enough to use on a vette i'd try it on my bike. Its actually pretty thick. You said you bottom out with no air. Do you mean with stock shocks? My rear is the stock 16.

Yes I am pretty sure they are stock shocks. If I do this I may use 1/8 inch stainless that is somewhat flexible. I would rather use something a little larger for the volume but for ease of installation the smaller more flexable stuff may be they way I go.

That spine jarring effect is gone with the air shocks. Yes if you hit a rough spot too hard with too little air you will realize you need to add air but its not that metal to metal feel you get with the stockers. As far as the lines go stainless would look nice but unless your showing off your install nobody will see it. Stainless will be more durable but i really didnt see anywhere on mine where chafing might be a problem. Line size needs to stay at 1/8. The outlet of the 92c compressor is 1/8 so it would actuallly take longer to air up because it has to pressurize larger lines. Good luck!
