And as you can see in the first video, there is about a 2" gap between the bottom of the fender and the top of the tire, so add the 4" deep the fender is and that gives you about 6" to the top of the fender. 6" - 4" drop = about 2" gap.. The numbers are sound guys..
FYI: Arnott 9.75" Bilsteins with 150x18" also tags the harness.
Maybe, but then again you are talking about a tire that measures 26.2" in diameter and 6.9" wide as opposed to the stock MT90/16 that measures in at 25.7" and only 5.2" wide..
Not a huge difference, but more than enough to do some damage.
I wrote legends, I meant arnott.. But the compressor and solenoid are arnott, shocks are really all that isn't. Though Im not 100% sure that it is what we used, He does a lot of systems on cars and trucks, he always goes with Arnott, so it was most likely their air lines as well.
999, is so cool, thanks for sharing and posting. With my 96 RK I had the Arrnott Bilsteins and 9.75 drop. To rough to ride it that way and to rough if I was all the way up. Only thing I should have added to my bike was a pressure gauge.
Puh-leeze!! look at the tape measure in that clip, there is clearly only 1 & 11/16" clearance between the tire and fender with the suspension all the way down!! It'll rub the wiring harness and you'll be sorry, probably wind up in a fiery ball of flames. Why you guys always want to be modifying everything is beyond me......crazy!!

If you can tell me how a bundle of wires no larger than 1/4" around, and tightly bonded to the top left hand side of a fender (Ya know, the area furthest from the tire) will hit if there is a 1 3/4 gap at the smallest point, I will start a new thread and tell the world how you are the bestest genius ever..
I'll make you a pic of how its mounted, then maybe it will be easier to understand what I'm saying.
Some people might say that.... people like my late grandfather with his "tsk tsk tsk....I knew a guy one time that had a motorbike and......blah, blah, blah" as he enjoyed retirement sitting in a recliner watching wheel of fortune.
Glad I caught this thread though. Fixin ta drop mine 2" in the front and your air ride looks like a good solution for the back.....put it in the weeds I say!!
