On the Monroe shocks what fittings are you using coming off the shocks to switch over to brass fittings instead of the cheap plastic ones. Also where did you purchase them from. I checked the thread on the shock and its 7/16-20 its the same as hydraulic, but I don't think a jic 90 to pipe will ever seal, thanks in advance for the help.

I had no choice but to use the plastic ones that came with them, but be sure to use the O rings that came with the shocks. I got in a hurry when they showed up and didnt notice the orings in the bag and I could not get them to stop leaking until I read the directions. I did pick up some fittings at my local Parker store but the problem is fitting on the shock has a extended piece of pipe on the end that is not threaded and it doesnt allow the fitting to reach the threads. I guess it could be cut off but I'm not doing that.

Good luck with your project

I used some shock adapters from aired up.com makes everything so much easier! HTNHRD gave me the lead on them

Question for those with Gabriels.
Are you using Poly bushing on the top and bottom of the shocks, or just the top. I was thinking about using them on the top but just placing the correct size sleeve through the stock bottom rubber bushing.
I just received my free replacement shocks due to a fluid leak (Thank you Auto Zone for a hassle free replacement). After trying like mad to remove the Poly Bushings and sleeves from the leaky shocks, I figured I would just buy new ones for the replacement shocks. Just not sure if need to go with poly for top and bottom, but that's what I did the first time.

I replaced top and bottom. I used a drill bit to drill out the rubber. I had to grind my sleeve to get the polys to fit flush

Thanks to htnhard I also got the adapters from aired up. I will say one thing watch out ordering parts from firgtprops. I got my package in the mail and it was opened up with nothing inside(I know this is no there problem) but after a bunch of e-mails and no answers and forget about trying to call them you'll get nothing but an answering machine.

After installing my air ride, I came across the same thing as others here.. I need a way to be able to get a consistent pressure.. Looks like the primary way to do that is to install a gauge, but I'm wondering if anyone has experimented with any other methods.. For instance, installing a pressure transducer and have a circuit which would be programmed to cut power to the compressor once the pre-programmed pressure is reached. I'm just trying to avoid having to have a gauge somewhere. Anyone?

Is anyone on the forum putting together an all inclusive air ride package? I don't want to order from 10 different companies to get all the items needed to do this job. It would be worth it to me to just pay a little extra if someone has already figured out the logistics of this mod. I see some similar set-ups on Ebay for around $400. If anyone is doing this on the side (putting together a air ride package) please PM me. I have a 04 EG if that matters. I would love to do this mod. Thanks guys...I read all 90 pages and I'm tired now!!
