You made some decent points there. I looked on the internet for the issue and found most individuals will go along with with your opinion. Thanks! Bathroom Grab Bars
Here is my 2000, I just used the reflector tag bolts, They fit right in there with a dab of silicone. Been gone for I don't know how long and no issues.

I know this is going to be dumb question so I apologize in advance. Do you fill the entire hole with silicone, allow it to dry, and then screw in the reflector tab bolts? Or do you fill the hole with silicone, insert the relfector tab bolts, and then allow to dry?
I guess I am a little confused about the application of the silicone.
Another inexpensive way is to get two toppers that you like and make your own just using bolts that they snap on, washers, nuts and plastic tubbing that will fit over the bolts and in the tube, use silicone to hold everything in. I used two head bolt covers that I had for my 82 year old friend that just bought a streetglide, sorry I don't have any pic. and he lives 70 miles away.
Enough has been said on the function of this bar, why do people who have no idea of what they are talking about always get on these threads?? Just skip the thread, leave yours on and be happy.
Would you please elaborate, in painstaking detail, on how you did this?
