I first look in my wallet then decided how much I want taken from it and go from there.

Riding gear like a jacket, boots or rain suit is much more important than any bolt-on accessory.

I once went crazy with an Electra Glide Standard I use to ride. I bought every accessory and performance mod I could. In the end my bike looked nice. But I realized that all this stuff did little to enhance the riding experience. To make matters worse, when I sold the bike it was worth no more than a stock one.

The only mod I made to my current bike is Rhinehart true duals and a mount for my GPS. I enjoy spending money on trips much more than chrome widgets and performance mods.

For me, safety was a priority. The first aftermarket, non-Harley item I added was an E-Z brake pedal, and got rid of that ridiculous stomp pedal that Harley has used for decades.

comfort first. (safety first) and then comfort. when you buy clothing for wife and you it takes alot of $ so very little bling gets bought by me. I want to ride and as someone said above, gives us more to spend on trips. I have enjoyed this thread.
Most think alot alike.
kroozeabout.

Safety, Comfort, Performance, and then Bling is my general theoretical order. But of course, pipes go on first..
