We pickup a 2008 Street Glide on Friday, last week.
Bike had a T-man 103 stage 3 kit put in last year, w/ 58mm throttle body, hiflow injectors, D&D fat cat, super tuner..thats all i think.
Not running very well, so based on recommendation from this forum, we took it to Ed @ Dyno difference in Dallas friday afternoon.
After 4 hours of tuning, draining 30 oz of oil out of crankcase (sumping), new plugs, and correcting the previous guy's attempt at tuning (they had set it up as a 117 in computer)---
Bike ended up making 111/114, with 100lb.ft at 2400.
Basically a straight tq. curve all the way from idle to 6200. (not much curve to it) Damn pleased with that.
It is a HELLUVALOT of fun to ride..feels likeit lift the front wheel shifting to second.
Probably could have gone with smaller throttle body--58mm seems like over kill...bike was rich at almost every setting.
If you need a good tuner, call Ed in Dallas at Dyno Difference, though. Awesome guy. He called this morning just to check on bike and make sure we were happy. On a sunday.
That's great news for you and me. I've been looking for a tuner down here in Houston but cant find one that anyone recommends. I'll have to give them a call. Congrats on the good tune and great numbers.
When they're sumping, they work like a torque converter. It's like a person trying to run with rubberbands around his legs. Glad you got it ironed out.
Sounds like a good running bike! Upping the displacement in the computer is pretty common in tuning though, When you raise it it gives the tuner more room for adjustment.
those are mighty impressive numbers. ed down in dallas comes highly recommended, and seems to know his business. congratulations on your tune. great job.
