I just got a 11 RK. I would like to dump the cat. A buddy of mine has the header pipes off a 09 Street Glide I can have. Any one know if they will fit on my 11 Road King? Or will I need to buy brand new headers?...Thanks.

I think that he has 02 sensors that are 18mm and yours are 12mm also different locations. Just cut the pipe in half and remove the cat weld back together you will love it. Or do what you are going to do sooner or later and buy a system and keep the stock stuff to be on the safe side with Uncle Sam.
Oxygen sensor bungs are larger for the 09 and also positioned closer to the head exhaust ports... 2011 are smaller and located near each other at the merged area of the pipe next to the tranny cover...
I just removed the cat from an 2011 bagger header. It is a pain to remove as that stuff is tougher then nails. I just need to find a welder to weld it back together and then I am going to sell it. If you can weld and want a cheap one I will sell you this fro $25 plus shipping. It is in excellent shape.

That is a great deal if you can weld or know someone who does!

mtclassic...staying with the cat in the header?
Yes. I have been back and forth on this so many times. After pulling the cat material out I just can't see it making a ton of difference and the heat part does not bother me. when you have the cat chamber cut in two and hold it up to the light you can see that it passes quite a bit so for a mild build or stage 1 like mine I don't see it being that big of a hinderance.
Going with Slip-ons and A/C I do not know if you even need a PCV ? You get rid of some heat and you get HP & TQ ( How much you need on a TOURER ??) and if the head pipe is still bothering you then put on a Oil Cooler from HD to help more with that. The less you do with breaking Cases open and going into the engine the better off you will be, Take a look at the Ultra that goes dead when shifting between 1st and 2 nd? That will make you think ! It is on the Forum now.
