In need of help.....

First, Happy New Year to all and I wish you all health and happiness!! My problem started when I decided to install the 69828-06 tach on my 09 RKC. Things were going ok until I got to installing the signal connector into the 3 hole on the deutsch connector. I know that they say in the service manual that you need a special tool to insert the connector (which I do not have) but does anyone know of another way to do this. Any thoughts is appreciated, thanks.

I took one of those chincy small jewelers screwdrivers and ground the flat blade to round on a grinder and use that as a pin tool. Works great. See attached.

Thanks Dawg, worked like it should. I can't wait to ride wth a tach so I can see where I need to tweek my PCV.

When I installed my tach I didn't mess with the connector. I pulled the wire shroud back about 5 inches, cut the signal wire and spliced, soldered and srink tubed the three wires bike togeather then slid the black shroud back over everything.

If you didn't know it was their you would never find it.
