I have the 259E cams in my 2007 ultra classic with the 107 bore and stage 3 head work and 10.8 compression..also true duels and pc 5 auto tuner for almost 2 years now..the bike runs really cool on hot days and a real stump puller,,,really happy with the 259 cams and really u need the bump in compression to wake these cams up,,pulls constant from 2500 to 6500rpm..
Finally got my SG upgraded with 254e cams, Ventilator hi flow Breather, Vance and Hines Perfomance Headpipe, SE pro performance mufflers and dyno. The results came in at 89.73 max torque and 82.83 max HP. Drove it home in the rain so couldn't play too much but I can tell the difference from the stock 103.
Just bringing this topic back up to the top folks. Am I to get the general idea it is going to be a tuning chore to get 100tq out of these cams with the compression that my stock 96 Road King has please? The tuning guru 5 hours away from my house said the other day they do tons of bolt in work on 96" and with the Wood TW-7h and Direct Link tuning and 100tq is guaranteed. To me that is the wrong cam for a bagger but 100tq is impressive.

I guess it depends on when the tq. comes on at in the Woods not much good if it is'nt where ya need it. For a 96" in a bagger with the compression the 96" has, 255's would be a better choice than the 254's would be,alot of guys happy with the low end tq. of the 255's in a 96.
What's up fella's?...........I am having my 2010 Fatboy lo bumped up to 103". My dealer has put a list together for me and just wanted your guys input. He is getting me the 103" jugs, the high comp. pistons for 10.5:1 comp., installing the MCR's, SE-254e cams, new cam bearings and a TTS Master tune with 2 complete dyno sessions. One lust after the build and one after 1000miles. He said he would mill the heads to get the proper squish and he is a very seasoned mechanic that knows his stuff!!!!......I was just wondering what else I might need to complete this build?....I have noticed people talking about compensators and cluch springs and new push rods. I noticed that the SE Pro stage 3 kit comes with the jugs, pistins, rods, springs, 259e cams, heavy duty cluch spring, and a race tuner for just a $150 more + the bearings and gaskets. Am I better off just getting this kit, cause I only want to go in the motor once for now and want to do it right????.........Any thought or help would be greatly appriciated!!!!!!!!

Listen dude If you are pushing 10.5:1 compression and you have a wise indy
you owe it to your self to go with the 259e cams in the pro stage 3 kit
Here's my take on this.
I purchased a 2011 road glide with a 103 new and immediately had a v&h pro pipe, se heavy breather, se race tuner installed. After the installation the bike dynoed 75 HP and 91 FT LBS of torque.
I just installed 254E cams and the bike dynoed 88 HP and 94 ft lbs of torque. I picked up 12 HP and a few ft lbs of torque.I think I made a good choice of cams and exhaust for a stock engine. The blike pulls hard up to 5500 rpm. I spent $ 1000.00 on the cams, gaskets and adjustable pushrods. $1500.00 for the pro pipe, race tuner, heavy breather and dyno tune. I recommend this set up to anyone.
