currently have vivid black. wax on wax off. Am looking at the street glide in denim black and am wondering how you are liking it? easy to care for? fading badly? scuffing easy? I know its supposed to somewhat fade and im good with that, but the dealer said people are downright not happy with it. Not sure why though. Just looking for advice before I pull the trigger.
Almost impossible to remove scratches, mine started as denim blue and it was glossy where I used the rubber wheel to take off the two sided tape, I would assume any buffing would cause it to get "glossy"
I have to wonder how difficult the scuffs would be to remove from the denim paint job.
supposed to be a royal paint in the a**. but, the flip side is that the denim is supposed to 'scuff' and wear 'like a pair of your favorite jeans'....
that being said, i love my denim paint. clean up is a breeze. you won't get the micro fine scratches that plague vivid black, and you get to spend more time riding and less time cleaning.
i haven't gotten any scratches or gouges in the paint that i need to worry about so i can't comment on the touch up aspect.
i've had the rg for 10 months now. still looks new.
I had a black denim fatbob, and then traded off on a vivid street glide. After having the flat black for about a year and a half, I thought it might be nice to have a shiny bike.
I was wrong.
Black Denim in pretty awesome. Looks Bad A$$, no finger prints.
I'm thinking about getting an estimate to put a satin clear on my vivid so I can go back to the flat look.

Sounds like this guy answered your question. If you like the look just get it!!! Then start blacking out everything else... it will be BAD ***!
I also went from a denim black fat bob to a street glide in gloss. Denim was easy to care for and durable. No problems at all. Didn't scratch easy eiter
