It made a great difference to me. My glasses stay on much better without all the updraft in my face. I like it alot and it was one of the cheapest mods I have made.
The only thing that really irritates me is that it has three mounting holes that match the three pre-drilled holes on the bike, but they only provide two bolts. I had to buy a another bolt and washer to fill all three holes and make it look right.
I'm on an 07 Street Glide and yes it cuts that rush of wind coming up from between the tank and fairing. The biggest thing I noticed is road crud doesn't fly up in my face anymore. If you are looking to kill the buffeting you will also need to swap windshield for something taller. So is it worth while? Yes.
I love mine! It works like a champ. As stated before it does significantly cut down on the updraft coming from under the fairing. My glasses no longer dance up and down on my nose!
Now with Street glides the shorter windshield will give you different results. I have a standard length shield on my Glide and have no problems with wind/buffeting.
