I got the bike back yesterday. The HD calibration that we wanted is on backorder, so he returned the bike to me, with instructions to use octane boost, and dont lug it. Let me tell you......this is like having a completely different bike. I cannot spin it over 3500 rpm's, but man is this thing strong to there! I goosed it a little last night...and I am not sure that the front tire might not have left the ground. I am really impressed so far. The power really comes on at about 2500 rpm, which is what I was looking for, more grunt down low. Now I just got to get 800 miles on it so I can get some numbers on this build!

Glad all the research seems to have been rewarding. Now, all you gotta do is put 200 miles on it per night after work for 4 days, do the calibration and enjoy! I agree...these baggers are so much more fun when they have a lot of grunt down low. After a while you take it for granted.....until you ride a stocker.....good to do for the occasional reality check.
Post your Dyno results when you get 'em. Congrats!
Ok, you've had a week with it now..................how's it running?
When is the dyno day?
Steve
Man, it just aint been a good week. I had planned to do some riding after work each day, and ended up with what feels like the flu monday. I have put amost 400 miles on it since getting it back. I am beginning to feel a bit better. With any luck, I can get some good miles on it Sunday. Even considering that I cannot go over 3500 rpm, the bike feels twice as strong as before. At 50 mph, if you come up on a hill, all you have to do is roll into the throttle and it starts pulling hard. Believe me, as soon as I get some numbers.....you guys will be the first to know. I may be wrong, but I think the numbers will be quite favorable....
