So I want to clean the rear end up a little. (I know that sounds bad)
Which filler kit to buy for my 08. I do not have the saddle bag rails anymore so the bags are more like a street glide. I do have the detachable hardware installed and a tour pak installed if that matters. I see they have some that are slotted and some that aren't. I am thinking I need the unslotted ones but I want to make sure. Would like to get them on order so when I spray my inner fender I can spray them at the same time.
I would second guess that too. honestly its just a cover up, do it once do it right and be happy, if you can't do it right why bother? ya have a nice bike why throw on a cheap *** cover? I was in the same position at one time, glad I didn't go the cover route.
Anybody have the part number for the rear facia in primer. I just scored a RG vivid black rear fender so I am going for it. Gonna change the whole thing.
watch ebay man, I see them pop all the time with the upgraded tri-bar light. All vivd black and ready to go.
I've got $150 in mine all said and done.
$80 for the vivid black fascia
$65 for the run/stop tri-bar
$5 for 3m double sided tape
I simply cut out tape to fit the sections that the fascia touched the fender. Easy breezy and no drilling or extra parts to buy. 100% I'll never take it off.

Will do. I have noticed a few on there but I am thinking the primer one from HD is cheaper than the ones listed. I already have the tribar light with my set up now so no need for that. I have a pile of paint and clear sitting around after my inner fairing project so the primer one is the way to go I am thinking. I have to search around here and see if I can't find that part number.
You are saying double stick tape to huh? Thats interesting. Way better than drilling. I guess I will have to wat till I get one in my hands.
Well, if you drill it then you need the backing plate and studs. They are not free nor cheap.
On the inside of the fascia you can apply strip of the 3M double sided tape. Just use a razor blade to trim it down so you can't see it. When you place the fascia up to the fender you'll see how it hugs the fender. It's simple...especially if you're capable enough to paint your inner fairing.
I installed the fillers on my 06 Standard.I would have preferred the SG facia but it was a bigger job than I cared to take on.I would need to fill the holes from the fender tip light and painting. It would have been fairly expensive. The last 2 pics here are of the bike with the filler strips installed.
