Default Guy's running TTS Mastertune

I finally got a nice day to take the bike out of the garage didn't ride it yet but put some heat in the new engine. My question is does the tts tune while idling or does it need to be ridden to compensate because sitting there it sounds great but vibrates on acceleration kind of like one cylinder is getting more fuel. Its a new 103 build with andrew 26 cams.Plus the engine has been run for maybe ten minutes.Guess im stressed after all that money i would hope it is perfect. any suggestions please

I have the TTS and as far as I know, it doesn't auto tune. You have to collect data and then adjust your map.
You're already in Pa., why not go see Dave at JD's Cycleworks and have him tune it for you.

Get it tuned immediately. Don't wait till you think the motor is broke in before tuning it. It's got to be close or the engine will not break in correctly. Having said that, there is a lot of contraversy on how to break in a new motor. If you want to here my version, let me know.

You may do damage to the motor or you may not seat the rings correctly and you'll end up with a weak power plant if it's not tuned close from the get go.

so it sounds like im going to have to take it somewhere to have it dyno tuned.I thought that the tts adjusted as you rode.I had a power commander before without o2 sensors i thought going back to o2 sensors would be better

Bagger, I don't know how close you are to Bethlehem, Pa., but I drove there from NYC to let Dave tune my RK. Give him a call at JD's Cycleworks. He's a great guy to deal with.

The O2 sensors will only adjust a very very small percentage after the motor has been tuned close; unless your TTS came with a data logger that is seperate from the software package. The unit plugs into your ECU and you go riding with it for somewhere around 2 hrs. Then you unplug it and plug it into your PC or laptop and make manual or automatic adjustments to the program and re download into the ECU. The data logger could be an auto ECU adjusting unit that you never unplug. Does it have a logger? Does it have an auto logger that tunes as you ride?
Either way, the basic program has to be with in 7% optimum before data logging or you are just shooting yourself in the foot, so to speak.

Sounds like your going to have to ride it and gather some data, then do a V-tune.

Good luck.

I you have the TTS, you will need to load the updater from the disc tht came withthe TTS, and then download the tuning manual. You MUST read it to have any idea of how the unit works. For some, it is way to much "voodoo" to deal with and if that is the case, take it to a competent tuner.

Yep i agree this might be more than i want to do myself.I will look into a tuner.Fdhog gave me a tuner but he's pretty far away. And it does have data logger if i put my lap top in the saddle bag.can't think a 1200 dollar lap top will like it.
