I think you will find the fender will not easily come out forwards through the gap between the fork legs and it is easier to drop it down past the ends of the legs. All you need to lift the bike is a scissor jack under the front of the frame. The jiffy stand is more than strong enough to support the bike with the rear wheel on the ground.

The fender will come out between the forks without removing the wheel. Just did mine this winter. Yes it was challenging to say the least, to get the lock tabs but was doable. was still quicker than removing the wheel, in my case anyway. Once done the fender slid right out.

Ditto what KRUZIN posted. Just removed mine (2011 FLHTK) last weekend without removing the front wheel. Very challenging to get the lock plate tabs to the "unlock" position, but patience and caution are the keys....

If your getting a ding fixed and repainted...

The wheel would be coming off..

Taking it off, ok you scratch the paint..
I want to see your reaction when you install it and scratch it

BTW- it'll slide out without removing the wheel, but only to the rear and it has to be off the ground a good bit. At least that's how mine went.

Default Removing the front fender without a jack

I have a have touring road king i keep getting my motorcycle jack stolen by the neighborhood tweekers. You can use small car scissor jacks (2 of em) to lift it pretty high up. Just be carefull n keep one wheel on the ground for stability (I did this on my FXR all the time, but it was lighter) just go up a couple turns. Each side pretty evenly n it works pretty dam good. It lifted my road king pretty dam high tho too enough to get the rear wheel off n clear the fender. I can just be cautious. It’s worked for me. I don’t know if it’s very good idea but i have done it a bit of times
