Puttering in my wood shop ..
I've been busy diddling in the wood shop --
So I made this timing cover from some Ipe I have laying around...
And this air cleaner cover from some old Florida swamp cypress

No wonder I have holes in my Ipe deck...
Awesome wood! I built a 1200 s.f. deck and used Ipe for the decking and stairs. All the decking is held down with S.S. screws which are countersunk and then plugged with Ipe wood plugs which gives it an old fashion look. All the Ipe is stained with an exotic hardwood stain which really brings out the grain in it. Never have to treat the wood with anything again, I just pressure wash it every couple of years to get the mold/dirt off it. Man, I went through some carbide tip saw blades and countersink bits making this bad boy!

Wood on a bike isn't my cup of tea but you do nice work. Very unique. Now you have more reason to use Pledge
